Dr. Simone Gold, the COVID-19 doctor fired from her hospital job over hydroxychloroquine viral video, is asking for donations and public support | Tech News

Last week, we wrote about Dr. Simone Gold, a board certified emergency physician who appeared in the hydroxychloroquine viral video, after she was fired from her job because of the media slander. Dr. Simone Gold, the founder of the newly created group called America’s Frontline Doctors, lost her job after her employer found out about the viral video where she promoted hydroxychloroquine.

Now, Dr. Simone Gold is asking the public for donation to fight the legal battle with her former employer. In a tweet over the weekend, Dr. Simone Gold said the following:

After our press conference, I was defamed by the media, censored by social media companies, terminated from employment, and viciously attacked, all for advocating for the right of physicians to prescribe what they believe is best for their patients.

Last week, hundreds of Americans came out in her support. However, shortly after her tweet was published, PayPal limited her ability to receive donations.

In a tweet, she wrote: “We believe the issue is now fixed so if you would like to support our cause, we would kindly ask you to please try again.”

The hydroxychloroquine viral video, which features members of America’s Frontline Doctors at a press conference outside the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., was taken down on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. The video got more than 14 million views on Facebook alone, according to CNN, which cited CrowdTangle data, has since been taken down from Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter — including removing tweets that the president shared.
