WhatsApp down reports are surging in right now with thousands of users around the world hit by issues with the hugely popular chat app. The last time the app was down was back on December 31, 2017. WhatsApp’s users in Europe, Asia, and South America experienced outage as the app went down in several parts of the world on Tuesday.
Mobile and web customers say the app is not ‘connecting’ when they try to send messages. Issues have been reported across the world, including Europe, US, India, Pakistan and Australia.
WhatsApp Messenger is a cross platform mobile messaging app for smart phones such as the iPhone, Android phones, Windows Mobile or Blackberry. It is used by over 1 billion users worldwide. Whatsapp allows users to send and recieve messages, photos, and other information and is considered an alternative to text messages or SMS.
